I absolutely love working with Heather Dixon and Mindy Brown of Clotheshorse Magazine. We are all artists; I work with photographic images, and they work with needles and yarn. It is truly inspiring to collaborate with both of them. When working with other artists, I think that it’s important to really admire their aesthetic, and I most definitely do! Heather and Mindy pour their hearts into their work and I love that about them. This is how they describe this collection:
“A playful story of uncomplicated construction, we experiment with patterning, textures, and simple trims to cover the body in bold and fearless colour. Styling hints back to the era of the Beatnik whilst maintaining a contemporary edge. Layer with complimentary colours or shades of the same for single colour dressing. Heavier gauges work well in one color, textured patters and oversized shapes.
While silhouettes remain simple, colors are a wild mix of; black, mango, peach, mellow yellow, minty greens, juicy pink, the brightest magenta, and caribbean blue.”
Seriously, how could you not like that?
