Diggin’ the fabric backdrop.

I picked out this fabric at Jo-Ann’s (I go through phases of having major spending problems there). It was absolutely perfect for this shot. I love the Victorian feel. There isn’t a formula for great photographs, sometimes you just have to experiment and see what works. I started this set with a flatter lighting setup and decided to ditch the light on camera right. This resulted in a more dynamic and emotional lighting. I think it came out wonderfully.

This is Melody. She was great to work with! Hopefully I will work with her again soon.

  • PegI dig the fabric too! Sweet damask! I may have a few hundred to show you sometime…

  • The SquirrelWow! You’re right, that fabric is perfect for the shot.

What I love about wedding and portrait photography is that I am able to create portraits that hold immense personal meaning which will last longer than we will.
