Rachel and Patrick: Engagement Shoot

I was very excited to spend a bit of time with Rachel and Patrick before their wedding. Not only do we get great pictures during engagement sessions but it also gives the photographer more time to get to know the client. This is, I think, what really draws me to these types of sessions. Rachel does amazing work with Adobe Flash (see her website) and our shoot was just after Steve Jobs published his controversial “Thoughts on Flash” article. My website is created using Flash and it was great to hear her perspective on the topic. Ok, ok, less tech talk and more photography! They wanted to take their formal wedding pics on their property in Plattekill and I wanted to check it out before their big day. It is always good to be prepared! It was a really beautiful spring day: warm and sunny. They also have two goats. I love goats. They were trying to eat my camera gear every chance they got. They were so cute!

  • PeeBeeI love goats! These photos look great. I especially like the nature setting and the beautiful property. I bet the wedding day pics will look nice too!

What I love about wedding and portrait photography is that I am able to create portraits that hold immense personal meaning which will last longer than we will.
