The beautiful campus of Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY set the scene for the recent wedding of Bobby and Maria. Both graduates of the college, they decided to return, among classmates, families and friends to celebrate their union. I met up with Maria and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready at the Inn at Vassar Alumnae House. Since they would be seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony, Bobby and the guys readied themselves in another room down the hall (and out of sight!) The ceremony was held in the majestic Vassar Chapel. Built in 1904, the vaulted gothic ceiling gave way to amazing Tiffany stained glass windows and a huge pipe organ. Bobby played guitar and sand a song he composed for Maria during the ceremony. Once the “I Do’s” were said, we moved outside for formal photos in front of the impressive arches of the chapel. There is certainly no shortage of beautiful places to take photos on Vassar’s extensive campus and Bobby and Maria were eager to capture some photos of the two of them around their alma mater. We returned to the Alumnae House for the cocktail hour and reception. After dinner, the guests made their way to the dance floor to cut loose. Bobby and Maria also opted to have a photo booth at their reception. Their guests had a great time putting on disguises and getting silly in front of the camera. The couples who have a photo booth are always excited to see what their friends and families were up to during the reception, and this event was no exception!
